Logical is a desktop AI that acts as a proactive and largely promptless copilot, designed to reduce the friction of using AI for everyday tasks. It transfers context across apps, and allows taking action on many apps with just a few clicks. Logical can assist with drafting emails, writing docs, noting meetings and can even automatically detect action items. Need to prompt? Logical can understand intent in much fewer words than a regular chatbot. Plus, user data is never sent to Logical servers. Logical is the AI resurrection of Clippy, but actually good.

Sam is the best performing Sri Lankan in the history of both the International Physics Olympiad and Asian Physics Olympiad.

Problem

Prompt-first AI is fundamentally flawed. We waste hours every week writing lengthy prompts, context-switching and copy-pasting to get a chatbot to understand what we're doing. Our story

Sam and Anushka have been friends since they met in grade school at 6 years old.

Before Logical, Sam worked on AI model optimizations at NVIDIA and previously dropped out of a PhD in applied AI. He's a medalist at both the IPhO and APhO and received a President’s Award for Scientific Research from the Government of Sri Lanka. Anushka dropped out of his PhD in context-aware predictive AI at UVA, and previously led B2B SaaS engineering teams.

Working in both academia and industry, we saw firsthand how most AI tools create friction and frustrate users. Our unique backgrounds – context-aware AI and AI model optimization – convinced us that an AI agent that lives on the desktop can identify user intent and provide proactive help, without compromising on speed or quality.
